PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry branch in Bakauheni, South Lampung, has activated 3 docks and implemented a scheme called “tiba bongkar berangkat” (TBB), meaning arrival, unloading, departure, to manage peak Eid al-Fitr homebound traffic tonight. This initiative aims to alleviate congestion at Bakauheni Port.
Implementation Details
-
Docks: Docks 4, 5, and 6 have been activated for the TBB scheme.
-
Purpose: The scheme is intended to reduce vehicle congestion at Bakauheni Port by ferrying vehicles to Merak Port. Upon arrival, all passengers will disembark, and the ferry will immediately depart back to Bakauheni Port without taking any travelers from Merak.
-
Benefits: By separating the unloading and loading process in this manner, the aim is to expedite the handling of vehicles at Bakauheni Port.
According to General Manager Syamsudin, this strategy is crucial for ensuring a faster turnaround time during the holiday rush.
